Eva Burrows College is the national learning centre for The Salvation Army with campuses in Melbourne and Sydney and online learning programs to meet your learning needs. We offer the following vocational courses, at an affordable and competitive price. Depending on the course you decide to study and where you live, you may be eligible for a subsidy through state-based and Commonwealth government funding.

Tom Quinn Community Centre

The Tom Quinn Community Centre in Bundaberg Queensland provides services for the disadvantaged and marginalised of the community offering a range of funded Skilling Queenslanders for Work (SQW) programs aimed at assisting the unemployed into the workforce with a combination of training and skills development. Many of these programs are funded by the Queensland Skills Assure.

Oasis Central Coast/Hunter

The Oasis Central Coast provides a range of programs, services and support to meet the needs of the local community, including training and work experience opportunities in our Community Shop, Pop Up café, Business Administration and Workshop. Many of these programs are funded by the New South Wales Smart and Skilled.

As one of Australia’s largest recruiters, Employment Plus provides job seekers with specialised training, work experience and a range of support services, to help them find meaningful employment. Additional Information

Skills Checkpoint for Older Workers Program The Skills Checkpoint for Older Workers Program provides eligible Australians, aged 40 years and over, with advice and guidance to help them: transitioning into a new career or upskilling advice for their current roles. The incentive provides up to $2,200 (GST inclusive) to jointly fund training to help individuals build skills to remain in the workforce longer. The participant or their employer must also make a co-contribution.

New South Wales Smart and Skilled is an initiative of the NSW Vocational Education and Training (VET) system to assist people to get the skills they need to find a job and advance their careers. Smart and Skilled provides eligible students with: - an entitlement to government-subsidised training up to and including Certificate III - government funding for higher-level courses (Certificate IV and above) in targeted priority areas.

Queensland Skills Assure is a key initiative of the Skills for Queensland: Great training for quality jobs strategy. Skills Assure makes it easier to recognise training providers that are approved to offer training subsidised by the Queensland Government. Victoria Skills First Skills First is a set of reforms for the training and TAFE sector. The reforms ensure that Victoria's training and TAFE system delivers high quality training that leads learners to real jobs. Skills First is made up of: - high-quality training that students and industry can trust, aligned to industry and workforce needs - a real voice for industry in training - funding for high needs learners who need additional support to engage with and succeed in education and training - access to targeted, relevant training for students in regional areas.

If you enrol in a funded course this may preclude you from accessing further funded training in Victoria 3. As a funded student you will receive an NCVER student survey for completion.
